Neither myself, the landlord or my agent will ever work with her ever again, and I can promise for the next house we buy, I will stay clear of greedy, unethical & lying agents who’s behavior is condoned by even greedier large corporations.

My agent brought me to a property that was being shown by an Agent of Coldwell Banker from the Winchester office. Right from the beginning, I was told that the fee was ½ a month’s rent which worked out to be $1,250 for me, where the other half payable by the landlord. When it came down to signing the lease (actually before that as we were “negotiating”), the CB agent increased our fee and said she didn’t remember saying that it was only a half a month’s rent for us. After begrudgingly signing the lease and since we were running out of time, once we had settled in, I later contacted the office manager to complain about this. I even sent her documented proof of what the fee was supposed to be. This turned out being an even bigger waste of my time. To add insult to injury, according to my agent, the CB agent never disclosed the actual arrangements she had in reality, effectively taking in an inflated and greedy amount of 82% of the entire commissions, leaving only 18% to my agent.
Seriously disgusted with this type of behavior…
